Career Fairs at The Salon Professional Academy in Appleton provide students with the easiest possible way to make connections with Salons and Spas who may end up hiring them one day. (Networking!) Picture this: Anywhere from 10-25 Salon & Spa representatives from all over Wisconsin waiting to talk to YOU, the student! Some of them are looking for full-time and others for part-time right out of school. How easy it is for you, the student, to initiate a conversation with an employer, hand over your resume, ask some intelligent questions, and end up making a great impression! Maybe the Salon or Spa will decide that you are the perfect fit and you will be invited to interview!

Here are some pictures from our most recent Career Fair that was hosted on Monday, March 12th from 12:30-1:30 at TSPA-Appleton. TSPA-Appleton Awarded Bioelements World Class Aesthetics School in 2017!

The Salon P rofessional Academy is committed to using Biolelements skin care products throughout all aspects of both our Aesthetics and Cosmetology programs, including our curriculum and salon/spa area. If you are like most high school students in Wisconsin at the end of February, you have cabin fever! The winter STILL isn’t over and you need something to do right? We have a solution for you and your friends.

Join us on Thursday, February 23rd from 6pm-9pm for SPARK at The Salon Professional Academy in Appleton, where you can pick 2 services for only $20! That’s less than just 1 service in most salons. You will also have the opportunity to learn while you getting pampered. Maybe you need to know what color makeup is best for your eye color or skin tone? Maybe you want to have a consultation for a makeover? Maybe no matter what you do, you just can’t figure out how to do that style you saw on YouTube? Our Cosmetology students are ready to teach you!

2016 Modern Salon Award

TSPA-Appleton wins Modern Salon Excellence in Education Award

The purpose of the MODERN SALON’s Excellence in Education program is to help the professional beauty school community gather, share and celebrate examples of great salon education experiences and beauty career development happening across the country.

In 2016, the crop of cosmetology schools entering the program brought plenty of benchmarks, measurable results and innovation into their application process. “School pride and powerful results were very evident this year,” says MODERN SALON Editorial Director Michele Musgrove. “We are so impressed with the variety of top schools in the U.S. that entered MODERN SALON’s Excellence in Education 2016 program. We have chosen a select few that we believe show leadership and best practices that other schools can use to learn and grow.”

Honorees were determined based on key criteria in each category and grouped according to school size or whether or not they entered as a multi-unit school or single location. Two top honorees are recognized in each category—one individual school location and a multi-location school organization—and were announced Saturday, Nov. 5, 2016, at the AACS Annual Convention & Expo in Orlando, Florida.

“On behalf of the entire professional beauty industry, we express gratitude that there are so many professional cosmetology schools continuing to do amazing and valuable work to shape the future of beauty,” said MODERN SALON Publisher Steve Reiss. “The purpose of Excellence in Education is to make sure more of these great schools get the attention they deserve.”

Together We Can TRIM HUNGER

The Salon Professional Academy-Appleton Declares a WAR ON HUNGER!

Trim Hunger is dedicated to wiping out hunger in America and won’t stop until every food bank and pantry, every public school lunch program, and every community outreach effort has enough food to go around.

In 2014, Josif Wittnik of Appleton, Wi., was introduced to frightening and saddening statistics regarding the number of people in his own community, including many children, who were going without food each day. Motivated by this daily tragedy in his hometown, Josif, the co-owner of The Salon Professional Academy-Appleton (TSPA) and Salon CTI and Day Spa, leveraged their reach and the caring hearts of the other salon owners, staff, and students to sponsor fundraisers.

Please join us for Trim Hunger on Sunday, October 2nd from 9am-4pm. Stylists from Salons all over the area will be donating their time and talent to cut hair and paint orange nails for this event. The Salon Professional Academy is located at 3355 W. College Ave. Appleton, WI. All proceeds of this event will go towards our community food needs.

Now Offering a MUD Beauty Essentials Makeup Course

The Salon Professional Academy – Appleton now offers MUD Beauty Essentials Makeup Course!

TSPA Appleton is excited to share that we have partnered with Make-Up Designory (MUD) to offer an advanced makeup class called Beauty Essentials! It is an introduction to beauty make-up techniques through 84 hours of instruction and practice and includes a MUD makeup course kit. The Beauty Essentials coursework prepares you to use the techniques required in today’s industry. Completion of the program qualifies students for MUD Beauty Essentials certification. This means you have the opportunity to take some of the advanced specialty courses MUD offers after graduation.
